Wen-Chen Chu serves as an Scientist at Pythia Biotech. She brings over 10 years of extensive research and development experience, specializing in microfluidics, cellular biology, and tissue engineering. At Pythia, her multidisciplinary skill set supports the rigorous development, fabrication, and biological validation of our advanced in vitro platforms.
Prior to joining Pythia, Wen-Chen spent over ten years as a Research Assistant at CellMax Life
, where she focused heavily on the manufacturing and process optimization of microfluidic chips. During this time, she honed her technical proficiency in precision manufacturing tools, including the operation of laser engravers and surface profiler.
Her technical expertise extends deeply into biological quality assurance and advanced cell models. As a Quality Engineer at Acrocyte Inc. she was responsible for incoming quality control (IQC), maintaining ISO 13485, and conducting specialized 3D spheroid cell cultures. Earlier in her career, she served as a Research Assistant at the National Defense Medical Center, where she isolated and cultivated human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and utilized flow cytometry to monitor their differentiation.
Wen-Chen holds an M.S. in Molecular Medicine from National Tsing Hua University and a B.S. in Life Sciences from Tzu Chi University. Her graduate research established a strong foundation in tissue engineering, focusing on pioneering cell patterning methods utilizing magnetic particles and light-sensitive hydrogels. Her unique integration of microfluidic engineering, cellular biology, and quality management is a vital asset in scaling Pythia's human-relevant platforms.
