Extend to Patient-Derived Models
Explore patient-derived tumor behavior in a controlled 3D microenvironment.
Bring patient-derived tumor biology into a controlled 3D microenvironment
Patient-derived tumor material keeps features of the original tumor, such as heterogeneity, that established cell lines often lose. In the TME-Chip, patient-derived samples can be studied together with stromal and immune components to investigate treatment response and heterogeneity in a controlled 3D microenvironment.
Characterization of Patient-Derived Samples
Compare treatment responses across patient-derived samples.
Patients can respond very differently to the same therapy. Multiple patient-derived samples can be evaluated under standardized conditions to characterize response variability and explore associations with sample characteristics or available clinical data. At the end of culture, nucleic acids can be retrieved for genomics and transcriptomics analyses to link response patterns to molecular features.
Biomarker Identification and Evaluation
Connect functional responses with molecular features.
Functional data from the TME-Chip, such as viability, immune-mediated killing, and effluent profiles, can be integrated with multi-omics analyses of samples retrieved from the chip. With analysis partners, multi-omics data can be generated and used to identify candidate markers associated with response or resistance, which can be tested in further patient-derived samples.
